Our colleagues at Society in Motion have released the New Faces Toolkit
Since 2017, New Faces has been working with festivals and cultural organisations in strategies for involving newcomers. The New Faces Toolkit comes as a result of these five years of work surrounding newcomers in the cultural sector.
The toolkit is available at the New Faces website for free and includes relevant information surrounding all aspects that surround the welcoming and the participation of newcomers. Throughout the years, the programme has recognised the importance of getting initial job opportunities and networking experience for those who have experienced the impact of forced migration. As such, some of the highlights of the report are their methodological section as well as their social impact section, as it provides the tools to impulse these projects in other places and how it can benefit local communities as well as newcomers.
Additionally, in February, New Faces will be hosting a webinar where alumni will be talking about their experiences in the programme and Hooman Nassimi, our colleague from Society in Motion, will be explaining in depth upon engaging with newcomers.
You can download the file following this link. The toolkit is currently available in Dutch.
