Tomorrow 23/11 will mark the start of Module III of the Festival Production Management Training.
On Friday 23 November, The Festival Academy (an initiative of the European Festivals
Association – EFA) will welcome 11 participants from 10 different
nationalities in Santarcangelo, Italy, home of the partner of this edition: Santarcangelo
dei Teatri running the oldest Italian festival
dedicated to the contemporary performing arts and one of the most significant
in the European context of theatre and dance, Santarcangelo Festival.
Module III is supported by ItaliaFestival,
a member of EFA.
During the 3 days of the concluding Module III of the Festival Production
Management Training participants have the opportunity to reflect upon their
placements in festivals worldwide, the challenges faced, the skills learned,
and what they wish to improve still, guided and inspired by Roy Luxford, facilitator and Programme Director Edinburgh
International Festival and two mentors present throughout: Roberto Naccari - General Manager
Santarcangelo Festival, Han Van
Poucke - Head of Production Holland Festival. Furthermore participants will discover the behind the scenes of
the renomated Santarcangelo Festival, meet many guest speakers - festival
organisers, curators and artists from the large region -, attend performances
and visit venues both in town as during a fieldtrip to Ravenna.
