Application deadlines approaching!
The Festival Academy (an initiative of European Festivals Association) invites festival and cultural managers as well as festival production managers from across the globe to apply by 31 May for the following unique opportunities of training and cultural exchange:
- The Atelier for Young Festival and Cultural Managers, Shanghai (China) 17 – 23 October 2017 is a new programme set up by The Festival Academy in collaboration with China Shanghai International Arts Festival in the framework of The EU-China High Level People to People Dialogue between the European Commission and the People’s Republic of China. For 2017, this programme is supported by the European Commission through the newly set up Cultural Diplomacy Platform and by the Ministry of Culture of China. Submit your application by 31 May!
- The
Atelier for Young Festival Managers, Merano (Italy) 17 – 23 November 2017 is addressed at emerging festival managers or those who have
ambitions to get involved in programming in festivals. It will be hosted by Meraner Musikwochen / Settimane
Musicali Meranesi in collaboration with Italiafestival. Submit your application by 31 May!
- The Festival Production
Management Training has been
developed for early career production
managers from all over the world. This three-module format focuses
on realising and implementing the vision of the artistic director.
Participants have the opportunity to meet with peers from all over the world,
exchange with experienced production managers and artists. Following the first
two successful editions, The Festival Academy continues its collaboration
with deSingel
International Arts Campus where Module
I will take place from 17 - 20 January in Antwerp (Belgium). Submit your application by 31 May!

- The Festival Academy, in partnership with the Market Theatre Foundation and the University of Witwatersrand’s School of Arts, has recently launched the call for application for the 13th Atelier for Young Festival Managers, Johannesburg - South Africa, to take place from 23 - 29 March 2018. Festival managers from across the globe are invited to apply by 30 June 2017.
