The Festival Readings Sochi 2019

The 10th Edition of the Festivals Readings took place in Sochi, Russia between the 15th and 17th of February 2019. 

Held for the fourth time in Sochi and previously held in Yerevan, Sibiu, Bari and Mechelen, these readings allowed the 35 participants to live three days immersed in the world of festivals. They had the opportunity to meet renowned festival makers sharing their vision and giving a deeper value to the social role of festivals today. 

We were delighted to received the following speakers for these 3 days: Guy Coolen, (Artistic and General Director Muziektheater Transparant and Artistic Director Operadagen Rotterdam – Belgium/ The Netherlands), Tom Creed (Theatre and opera director, Festival curator and consultant – Ireland) and Catherine J. Wang (President The Center for China Shanghai International Arts Festival, former Director of the Forum Affairs Department of the Shanghai World Expo – China). The readings were moderated by Christel Simons (External Relations Director European Festivals Association – Belgium).
