The Festival Academy was delighted to hold the third of its new online activity format: a series of conversations focusing on different countries and regions in need of international support. The conversations aim to raise awareness and knowledge about the current arts and culture sector situation and how it is impacted by their current political and economic conditions.
Following the current developments in Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, the third Hotspot focused on those countries, an urgent highlight that gives us the opportunity to understand in depth what is happening in the region and to build bridges and strategies for enhancing international cooperation.
The session was led by artists, cultural workers and activists from the region who are directly affected by its recent events. It took place on 21 June.
